Glorious piece of French Edwardian vintage
Such a sweet design…and very unusual (I see a lot of these dresses, and this is the first that has all of these details!)
Made from beautifully fluid linen (really nice weight and very easy to wear)
Very wide neckline that has a drawstring so you can bring it in as you wish (it’s photographed with it drawn in a little, but could be tightened or loosened)
Broidery anglaise and scalloped neckline (adorable!)
And then the prettiest flower embroidery at the front, so much detailing here, and the name ‘Laura’ (it’s gorgeous!! You don’t need to be called Laura to appreciate or wear this!!)
The sleeves are short and edged in hand made lace.
The back has a really beautifully designed pleat from the centre of the neck…such a lot of thought has gone into this
Divine! And as with all the Edwardian pieces, this is completely hand-sewn (down to the finest and smallest stitches!)
