This necklace is made from the very beautiful, Larvikite Labradorite...a stone I keep coming back to, time and again, because it has such a stunning (slightly understated) beauty to it.
 
At first glance it appears to be a simple grey/black matte stone..but on closer inspection each individual stone, looks like a tiny planet..with complex swirls of grey and flashes of blue (hence its 'Labradorite" reference)
It is truly a beautful rich and wonderful stone...and on a purely aesthetic level...will go with everything you choose to wear!
 
It is hand knotted to give the necklace fluidity, and finished with limited edition Ivory/Blue patterned sari-silk tassel

Sometimes referred to as Black Moonstone, Larvikite Labradorite is a Feldspar stone - its name deriving from the place it was originally found in the Larvik region of Norway.
